Device’s original Paralucent is spaced for optimum use at around 24pt, but is being increasingly used at small text sizes.
To answer this demand, Paralucent Text is a new cut — re-tooled for optimized use at text sizes, with wider tracking, more open counters, and increased space between stroke and bowl. The diacritics are higher to give more air, and to match the wider spacing. The 1 has a base stroke to help it fill the lining numeral width.
So here we have a specific book and bold (plus italics) pack for the text user. A simple two-weight set for general use.About the designer:

Under the name Device he now provides design and illustration for the advertising, entertainment, publishing, and media industries. In between assignments, he adds to his phenomenal stable of typeface designs. He has an extensive collection of Thunderbirds memorabilia, a fridge full of vodka, and a stack of easy listening albums which he plays very quietly.
