Moped is a fresh take on the mid-century chrome lettering that graced the nameplates of cars and appliances. Unlike the often mechanical forms of that era, Moped sports a friendly, contemporary appearance that is both cute and cool. Through the magic of OpenType, Moped automatically deploys the alternate characters needed for a seamless look. In addition, Moped features optional looped variants making this family a versatile addition to your design arsenal. Contemporary and retro at the same time. With three style variants (script, extended script, and sans) available separately or as a complete set.
About the designer:
Randy Jones is California-based freelance graphic designer and principal of Aquatoad Design. Having learned to draw letters under the guidance of the Ed Benguiat at School of Visual Arts, he now spends much of his time hunched over his Mac adjusting kerning pairs. Randy would like to thank his family for being patient with his type neurosis which frequently disrupts social outings via spontaneous font commentary.
